Imagine all the people,
living for today...

My very first mosaic, completed in 2014.

A commissioned mosaic, completed in 2022. My style and ability to capture detail has come a long way!

Hi I'm Jeff, an artist from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I've dabbled in many different art forms over the years! I'm proficient in playing the piano, trumpet, and accordion, and was in all sorts of musical groups. I've acted in films and television (I'm even on Netflix!), but now, I'm focusing on the visual side of the arts.
Why bottle caps you ask? While working as a bartender, I noticed the mass amounts of colourful and uniquely designed bottle caps being thrown out every single day. I thought to myself, a landfill is not a good place for so many little pixels of art to be spending the next five hundred years breaking down. So I collected. And collected. And collected...
I knew I needed to make mosaics, I just had no idea how to make one or what to make. It wasn't until the music I had playing in my garage came to the forefront of my attention when I finally found the perfect inspiration...
John Lennon's song, Imagine, made up my mind in more ways than one. Music is such an influence in my life, yet the lyric itself spoke to me on another level. People live for today - they don't think of tomorrow. Too many pieces of "garbage" can be reused. So, I started my John Lennon mosaic the summer of 2009. This was the piece which I used to figure out how to make the rest, and it hangs in my office to this day as inspiration that you can truly take someone's trash and turn it into someone else's treasure.
I’ve made over 150 pieces since 2015, and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon - in fact, I recently quit my day job in order to pursue my artwork full time and I am loving every minute of it!
If a custom piece is a must-have for you or someone you know (they make awesome gifts!) then please contact me with your ideas, I'd love to hear from you!
Did you know I do commercial work as well? I have worked with Interior Designers, Creative Directors, Marketing Associates, and owners of businesses to create larger-scale mosaics. The Chicago Bulls, Deep Eddy Vodka, and Labatt Brewing Company, are just a few of my larger commercial clients to date. I really enjoy working with teams throughout the planning and design stages, and love seeing their spaces come to fruition with the installation of my mosaics.
